Why I switched from secular to gospel music –Righteous man

For years now, Righteous Man, has been winning souls for Christ through his songs. Not many people would know that he has not always been a gospel artiste. In fact, while chatting with Saturday Beats, the singer hinted that his first album was a secular one. He later shared his reason for switching to gospel music.

“I started with secular music. My first album was a secular one, I switched full time in 2009. However, when I say that I sang secular music, I did not sing songs that insulted God, neither did I sing about sex. I talked about the ills in the society and I tried to correct it. I became a full time gospel musician in 2009. I was ordained as an apostle of God in 2009. That was when I switched. I have a music revival ministry called Praise Affairs International Ministry. It is a music ministry and we move around the world. We use music to win souls for God. That is what I have been doing,” he said.

The singer who is currently in the studio, gave a sneak peek of what he is currently working on. He said that he just released a song, ‘Universal Love.’

He said, “With the happenings in Nigeria today, everyone can see that the country is unstable. There are killings everywhere and everybody is protesting because of the recession. There is high cost of living. The essence of the song is to bring about change because hatred has eaten deep in the heart of men and the only thing that can heal our land is love. That is why I came up with ‘Universal love.’”
